Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Product Imaging collects when you use product-imaging.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We aim to collect the minimum needed to run the service and respond to you.
1. Who we are
Product Imaging operates product-imaging.com from Romania (EU). For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@product-imaging.com or use our contact form.
2. What we collect
- Account / demo data. If you register for a demo account, we store your username, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Images you upload. Product images you submit for processing (background removal, standardization, upscaling). Please do not upload images of identifiable people that you have no legal basis to process.
- Messages you send us. Contact-form, access-request, and feedback fields — the name, email, company, and message you provide.
- Usage analytics. Pages viewed, referrer, approximate country/city (from a local database — this lookup sends nothing to a third party), device and browser type, time on page, and a truncated IP address. We remove the last part of your IP (IPv4
/24, IPv6/48) before storing it, so it does not identify you individually. We use no advertising trackers, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or session recording. These analytics beacons are opt-in — they run only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice any time via Cookie preferences in the footer. - Strictly-necessary cookies. A CSRF-protection token and, if you log in, a session cookie. These are required for the site to work and do not track you across sites.
3. Why we process it (legal basis)
- Account and image processing — performance of a contract / steps taken at your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Messages you send us — consent (you chose to send them) and our legitimate interest in replying.
- Optional analytics beacons (cookieless page views) — your consent, given via the cookie banner and withdrawable any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. Aggregate server-side traffic counting (with a truncated IP) and per-IP abuse limits rest on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)), balanced by data minimisation.
4. Image processing & international transfer
To remove backgrounds and upscale images, the images you upload are sent to our GPU processing provider RunPod, Inc. (United States) for the duration of processing only; they are processed transiently and not retained by the provider. Because this involves a transfer to the United States, we rely on the provider's data-processing terms and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Processed images are stored temporarily on our own server and are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
5. Who we share data with
- RunPod, Inc. (US) — transient image processing, as described above.
- Our own analytics hub (
hub.designcreed.ro, operated by us in the EU) — receives the page path and referrer and derives a daily, irreversible visitor count. It stores no raw IP address and sets no cookie. - We do not sell or rent your data, and we use no advertising networks or data brokers.
6. How long we keep it
- Uploaded and processed images — deleted automatically 24 hours after processing.
- Demo account and credit records — while your account is active, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Messages you send us — until your request is resolved and for up to 2 years afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Analytics page-view records (truncated IP) — automatically purged after about 13 months.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email privacy@product-imaging.com; we aim to respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian data-protection authority, ANSPDCP.
8. Children
The service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or share, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
